Greatest Gift

What is the greatest gift someone could give you?

Jesper: I was thinking a long time for my answer since there are a few good ones like ‘time’ , ‘wealth’ and so on but I ended up picking ‘being understood’. I picked being understood because I feel that to respect and understand people’s differences since none of us is the same person, not even twins. So being understood is very important to me since if you don’t do an effort in understanding the person in front of you, do you really care about the person? I am always trying to understand the person in front of me but sometimes I fails because it is hard for me to ‘read’ everything correctly and sometimes I fail to put the right words together making it seem like I don’t understand things. But I can truly say that in my mind you are unique meaning that I don’t care if that if there are a million people who smoke like you as long you try to understand me then I don’t mind that and I hate to put people in boxes with other people since no one is the same. I know that it might sound like I don’t care but in reality I care a lot as I see you as you and since I try my best to understand you then you know why I am picking ‘ being understood’.

Ria: with no doubt my answer is “time”. Time is very precious. When someone gives you time, for sure you are very important for them. They love you. People wont invest their precious thing to people who arent important for them. When someone has no interest in you, they wont spend time or give their time for you. They will make excuses to meet you or communicate with you. But if they are excited with you, they will appear often in your life, willing to make or spend time with you. If you are their priority, they have lots time for you. If you arent their priority, their presence will be little. So time is the greatest gift someone could give to me.

We also need to give time for people we love. For example parents give time for their kids. A husband or wife gives time for their spouse. We listen to our friend’s problems. We support and visit family members who need help. We pray for people who experience natural disasters, and many more. All of them use time.
